The Manteno Veterans' Home is located east of the city of Manteno in Kankakee County, Il. and opened in 1986, The home is located on a 122-acre campus and is comprised of five major nursing care units and two ancillary service and support buildings. Care is provided for up to 294 Skilled Care and Special Needs Veterans. The project provided for the replacement of AHU’s, R/A fans, etc. in (2) resident buildings, R-3 and R-4. Services rendered included M/E design.

Project Features:
· Demolition of (10) air handlers and return air fans.
· Demolition of existing room and space VAV boxes.
· Demolition of existing pneumatic temperature controls associated with the upgraded systems and equipment.
· Verification of heating/cooling loads.
· (10)New air handlers and return air fans.
· VFD's added for each air handler and return air fan.
· New room and space VAV boxes.
· New open protocol DDC temperature control system.
· Re-connect new equipment to existing heating/cooling piping systems. Verification of heating/cooling loads.
